WDGC Championships

The World Deaf Golf Championships (WDGC) is the pinnacle event in international deaf golf, bringing together the best deaf golfers from around the world to compete at the highest level of the sport. Held every two years under the governance of the World Deaf Golf Federation (WDGF), the Championships showcase not only golfing excellence but also the strength, pride, and unity of the global deaf golfing community.

Since the inaugural tournament in 1995, the WDGC has grown into a truly global event, with players representing countries from every continent. The Championships feature men’s, women’s, senior, and junior divisions, providing opportunities for golfers of all ages to demonstrate their skill, determination, and love of the game.

More than just a competition, the WDGC is a celebration of sport, culture, and connection. It creates a unique platform where deaf golfers can compete on equal terms, share experiences, and build lifelong friendships across borders. Each host nation also brings its own cultural flavour to the event, making every Championship a memorable occasion for players, families, and supporters alike.

The World Deaf Golf Championships continues to inspire new generations of golfers and strengthen the visibility of deaf athletes on the international sporting stage. Through the spirit of fair play, respect, and community, the WDGC stands as a proud testament to what sport can achieve in bringing people together.
