The website has been simplified for the purpose of clear information and several separate forms have been inserted: team entry form and combined golfer/non-golfer/accommodation forms (Print out the necessary ones for your registration).

South Africa Deaf Golf Association completed their golf tournament and you can see their results: http://deafgolf.co.za/. We should congratulate Ryan Lotz for winning the Deaf Men’s championship, Gerrit Snyman for top spot in Men’s Stableford, and Bonitta-Lee Morgan for her placement in Ladies’ Stableford.

This coming March 2012, the South African Deaf Golf Championship will be hosted at the Selborne Park Golf Club, Pennington, Kwazulu – Natal South Coast. The invitation is extended to the Deaf / Hard of Hearing golfers outside of their country. Please take a look at their entry form (in PDF).

Gustav Wahlgren became this year’s Swedish golf champion at the Leksand Golf Club on September 3-4. He won by three strokes over Andreas Nilsson after a thrilling duel. Jonnie Hammenfors came in 3rd. After Saturday’s game Nilsson was in the lead, but on Sunday Wha came back and won the Championship title.

Unfortunately only two ladies participated in the women’s Championship, so there are no official results.

Results Men:
1st Gustav Wahlgren, Örebro 154 strokes.
2nd Andreas Nilsson, X-Drive 157 strokes.
3rd Jonnie Hammenfors, Stockholm 173 strokes

The Danish Deaf Sports just wrapped up the 2nd European Deaf Golf Challenge on August 13th. Twenty-five golfers from 5 nations participated in the event. The tournament started off with the opening ceremony, followed by a practice round. The golfers played a practice round in preparation and in the evening, they met to review the tournament rules. The tournament is a success with credits to the organizing committee.

Gustav Whalgren of Sweden came away with the victory with the score of 147. The second place and third place finishers are Andreas Nilsson of Sweden with 153 and Troels Dyhr of Denmark with 154. The competition was very close for the top 10 golfers. The team championship went to Sweden; Denmark and Germany were placed 2nd and 3rd.

Finland will be the host nation for the next European Deaf Golf Challenge in 2013.
